Leland Hardy, the Founder and Original Registrant of www.NEWYORK.com, is shown filming the construction of Chengdus first ever subway system outside of his window at the 5 Star Jinjiang Hotel in Chengdu, China on 8-25-09. Hardy, a leading China Scholar, is a 1984 honors graduate of the Beijing Foreign Languages Institute where he studied as part of his MBA/MA dual degree program at the Wharton School of Business and the Joseph H. Lauder Institute of Management and International Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. Hardy Visited Chengdu as part of the launch of MSD China aka Minority Supplier Development China, the latest foreign affiliate of the NMSDC aka the National Minority Supplier Development Council, which advocates for increased inclusion and participation of minority-owned businesses in corporate and government supply opportunities. MSD China will do the same for ethnic Chinese minority-owned businesses.
